This is my master plan. I'm going to make a to do list in a journal so that every time I come on dA, I'll see it and think 'man, I need to work on _______' and that way, I won't be stupid and forget stuff.

Phew... let's see if this helps at all.

I'm good at complaining. I need to rant a little about things that annoy me. WATCH ME NOW HEY!

1. People who are all 'I'm the best thing that ever happened to the art world. Watch me act all snobbish about how GOOD I AM, while I treat you like pond scum'. And they're average.

2. People that act like they have a huge fanbase. Like, like there are hordes of people waiting every second of every day to catch a glimpse of their art. And they're average.

3. Overpricing on Gaia. I think it's a reflection of #1. I mean... grainy, bad-anatomy chibis with bulgy eyes, that have a million pertrillion sparkles in said eyes, and pointy-ness, shouldn't be going for 10k.

4. All these writers who write bad getting published and really, really popular despite the fact that they 1) can't write and 2) can't create. Those writers are the reason good books aren't well known. I mean, people must be too busy reading Eragon and Twilight to pick up TDIR and Claidi Journals, right? Far too busy being drawn into cliched plots. And sparkly heroes.

5. People who try so hard to not be cliched that they're making dumb characters. I mean, you shouldn't go all: " This is so so original since I did the exact opposite of all cliched books and made everything the exact opposite. Plus I take the time to point out the fact that things aren't cliched! I'm so, so good at this".

It's not like I can feel less annoyed about all this, since I see people like this on Gaia a lot. I'm tired of arrogance and overpricing and Unrealistic EXTREME Anti-Sues and sparkly vampires.

Which reminds me, I feel bad for those vampires. Glitter never comes off.

The worst part is I was probably some of these things. But I've changed at looking at the past is stoopid and bears no fruit

SO SO Okay, I haven't started yet, but I will, and... I'm not a lazy person or a loser so you can stop looking at me please?

So after about four-five years of trying to learn anime, I've decided that cartoons are much better, and that I would rather be a cartoon artist. Problem is... I can't seem to draw cartoons. I'm stuck in anime mode.

So does anyone know any good books about drawing cartoons? Not like... Fairly Oddparents, but more realistic ones like, that aren't as 'silly' but more 'expressive'. You know what I mean... XD

Stuff like the art in and 's galleries... along those lines.

Real life book recommendations, or online tutorial links would be so helpful
